Special Thanks to Sophie Miranda!

Sophie Miranda collected monies on her birthday for TWECS and donated $205.

THANK YOU HOYA VISION CARE CANADA!!!

On Saturday June 4th, from 9:00am until 3:00pm, Hoya Vision Care Canada launched its Go Green Initiative. Hoya volunteers donated their time and worked hard to produce 300 pairs of glasses for the poor in the Third World.

Hoya Vision Care Canada Volunteers labelled bags, edged lenses, mounted lenses, inspected and packaged glasses together in the spirit of volunteerism to provide the gift of sight to those most in need.

Lunch and child care was generously provided by Hoya Vision Care Canada.

Have a look at our pictures and consider joining us on our next Green Team project!   > View Photos

Special Thanks to Carlie Peirce

TWECS would like to thank Carlie Peirce who donated money from her birthday party. She turned 11 on Feb 7th and sent invitations to 7 friends asking them for a donation to TWECS instead of gifts. She gave $130. Her mom says they have always donated their used glasses to our office but never really knew where they went. Carlie saw our jar we use for donations for "no charge" repairs and adjustments and also saw the article in our newspaper about our trip to Olongopo, Philippines. There's hope for the future with kids like Carlie.

Special Thanks to White Rock Optometry

TWECS would like to thank the White Rock Optometry Clinic for making the biggest single donation from any office in the history of TWECS. Thank you to the staff, doctors and patients of White Rock Optometry Clinic for raising $24,000 through their in office promotion in which Drs.Anderson, Ertel, and Curry matched the patient donations.
